Plummer's Crack: Explicit!

Censor!! Warning!! Explicit content lol!!
So, I had to post this. It was so funny. Dave was in the bathroom the other day and Laycee was begging to go, so he took off her diaper and sat her down. Well, when she was done, she got up and pulled up her pants. I see her walking around like this!
She was getting so frustrated trying to pull her pants up, but it was too funny. I had to get a pic before helping her out.

Date Night

Last weekend, Haylee and I got a few hours away to spend with one another. Well, this time, Dave and I got a few hours away. We went with Tabitha, James, Julie, Sean, Terrilee, Chad, Dave, Lori, and her husband (i can't remember his first name and I try not to name last names) to Giada's. It was the first we have eaten there. We have eat at Ada's which is the brother, but never there. Anyway, it was really fun. Somehow we didn't get a picture of the two of us... and I looked good too lol. But I did get a picture of someones meal. Here is the fish... eyes and all.
It acutally looked really good. We started our meal with Caprese Bufala. Which is tomato with soft bufala cheese on top. Now is a good month for seafood, so I got Spaghetti frutti de mare. Frutti de mare is my VERY favorite and I LOVE it on pizza! Anyway, it is mixed seafood, usually clam, mussle, squid, shrimp and octopus. I absolutely LOVE it. That is one of the things I will miss most about Italy. Dave ordered tortellini. It was suprisingly good too. And then we also got a pizza which we didn't eat because we were so full, but starving by the time we ordered at 730. And as any good italian meal goes, we have to get gelato afterwards. I was a little sad because it isn't the fruity months, so it was just normal italian flavors, but I tried Nutella which was good. It was nice to get out for a few hours alone with other adults!

So Jealous

Laycee is always adament about being right beside me. I rarely get a break from her. Well, the other day when I was doing the dishes, she was no where in my site. I was completely shocked, so I went looking for her. When I walked into the living room, I found Haylee and Laycee cuddling on the couch.
I, of course, was instantly jealous that they were so lovingly cuddling on the couch so happy in sister bliss... and I was in the kitchen doing my least favorite chore of all. I almost gave up on the dishes to join in the fun, but I didn't want to ruin a good thing. Well that and the dishes weren't doing themselves.

Can't Wait To Try This!

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I was looking for pumpkin recipes. I don't know why, but I have been wanting to be such a homemaker lately. That is SO unlike me. Anyway, I am just obessed with cooking our decorated pumpkins. We don't carve them, just color them, so they are still good. So, the other night I made pumpkin seeds... more to come on that. And I was looking around on the internet and found this great homemade pumpkin recipe site. It shows how to make the pumpkin puree first and then gives GREAT recipes. I can even freeze the pumpkin to use throughout the rest of the season. Now many of you may be asking why in the world I would want to do this. And I have NO idea. I HATE HATE HATE pumpkin everything except pumpkin cheesecake. I am not kidding. So true. But we have 5 useable pumpkins that I just plan to chuck in the garbage in a few days. Why not use them? The kids might like it all. Anyway, if any of you are feeling especially homemakerish (is that a word?) then here is the site. I can't wait to try it. But I am thinking of adding chocolate chips to the recipe like on Jessica's blog. Those look better lol!

Friends

After playgroup this week, we were walking to the car and Nancy and Jaron were with us. I told the kids to hold hands so we could cross the parking lot. After a few minutes of confusion, they worked it all out and left no one behind. Of course, I couldn't pass on such a cute photo chance.
I think Laycee was getting a little frustrated at the confusion of which way to walk, but eventually they made it to the car.

Ballerina

Haylee started dance a few weeks ago. I have been so thrilled watching her progress over the years. She does 2, 3 month dance sessions per year and you can really see it is paying off. She is getting a good grasp on ballet. I wanted to post a few pictures of how grown up she looks all set in her ballet class.

Sunday Night Football

I think this picture says it all. My boys love sports. I couldn't believe how intently they were watching football. Dave was so proud!

Crafts

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we were on the lookout for new crafts. Well Nancy found a blog that posted a recipe for on how to make a haunted house. Sorry I never got around to taking pictures of the final project. I need to ask Nancy the website again because I can't seem to find it in my e-mail. So here is my request... nancy, can you leave the web address for this in my comments box so others can try it out if they want? Thanks!!
Laycee waiting for the house to set.

Trent is building his house.
Dave puts the frosting on Haylee's so she can get started decorating.
So we were having a little trouble with the frosting because I put in too much water, so Logan and I made a pumpkin grave yard instead.
Here is what Jaron finished with.
Other than that, I found an idea to make glue ghosts. We have to try this again. The site said to use styrophom plates and I didn't have any, so we tried wax paper, but the paper absorbed the glue instead. But they had fun playing in it anyway. TO make these, just create ghosts out of glue on the styrophm plate. Wait to try and then draw faces. So here they are playing in it.

Those are just a few of the crafts we have been working on. I think for Family Home Evening next week, we plan on carving and drawing on the pumpkins. Maybe I might even be ambitious enough to try and make recipes out of the pumpkins afterwards. We will see. Does anybody have ones they suggest?

Bowling... after mother/daughter date

So I promised pictures of bowling. Here they are. I love the one of Logan dancing. It was a really fun night, even though 2 hours of bowling is way too much for me. I hate bowling. I love the social aspect of it, but I hate the game.

Girls Date

Haylee has been in need of a little alone time, so we got out for a Mother Daughter Date this weekend. It was supposed to be just a mother date, but then I included the daughter part lol. Anyway, we started our date will a stroll to post (about 15 minute walk).
Then we stopped at the PX and bought new clothes to change into before our movie. We went to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
Of course Haylee picked a dress. She loves dresses.
We are waiting for the movie to start.
This is all of us after the movie.
After this, we met up with the men and went bowling and had dinner at our new bowling alley, but you can read about that in another post, another day lol.

It's Official... Almost

Dave got word on where we are headed. We are off to Ft. Lewis, Washington next. We are supposed to report early March, but we will see. We are still hoping to take some leave before hand and stop over in AZ. Anyway, he doesn't have official orders yet, but looks like we are heading Kevin's way! Just wanted to let everyone know. Also, I have more stuff to blog, but I haven't had a chance to put the videos together yet, so be on the lookout over the next few days.

Lazy Day

Saturday was a lazy day. Dave and Laycee did the crossword.
Logan laid around reading.

The kids did some crafts and Nancy and Jaron came over, but those are in other posts. I just thought these pictures were cute!

Leaf Craft

We were working on crafts this weekend, so we started with an easy one. The kids went in the backyard and picked up leaves, and then we made pictures out of them.
Trent and Haylee working so hard.
Logan didn't want to help, he just wanted more cereal.
Laycee didn't want to be three inches from me, so all she did was cry.
At least Haylee and Trent had fun.
Be on the lookout, there are more crafts to come.

Halloween Decorations

As you all know, Halloween is just around the corner. I can't wait. So we started celebrating this past weekend by decorating and coloring. We were hoping to make spooky houses again this year, but the PX didn't get any in :( So, I am on the lookout for a new craft or two this weekend since the kids have off school Friday and Monday. But for now, we started coloring.

The picture above is Laycee, Logan, and some of Haylee's artwork. The pictures Below are Haylee and Trents.
And here we set up most of our decorations. We hung a scare crow on the door.
We are hoping next year to be able to put some stuff outside at our new place. We decorated our balcony here last year, but one of our italian neighbors worked on post, so they decorated as well. However, this year, we have got all new neighbors and I don't know how I feel about decorating outside. Halloween is just hitting Italy, so it is not celebrated like it is in the states. Anyway, throughout the month, look for new and exciting stuff that we will be doing to feel the spirit of Halloween!

Family Appreciation Day

A bit ago, the post held a family appreciation day. It was alright, but there were lots of fun things for the kids to do and free food. So we spent a few hours there.
Here is Logan playing Bocce.
These guys are waiting to jump on the trampoline.
Trent got his face painted to be a POWER RANGER. (Too bad I didnt get video of his ranger moves lol)
And Haylee gets set to jump.

A little Culture Lesson

I was looking back at the old posts today while I was "studying" Body Combat. Needless to say, I didn't get much studying done. Anyway, I was looking at the pictures and in the last few posts, you see the babies ALWAYS in clothes, and usually in jackets or long sleeves. But then just a few weeks ago they were running naked with dirty feet always. (side note: I love the granite floors, but there is no way to keep them clean so our feet are always disgusting!) So, I was thinking about it. And the weather did cool off. We finally got in the rain followed by the fall weather. But our house is freezing! During the summer, we get so hot from being on the top floor and the winter we get really cold. So, I was thinking, I am about ready to turn on the heat. And as I mention to Dave that I am ready because we are cold at night, he reminded me that they just did the memo that day. Italian's don't turn on their heat until after Oct 15th and their air is June 15th I think. Okay, so last year we waited until the week before thanksgiving because it wasn't as cold, but I want to turn on the heat! We are encouraged to follow many of the italian ways since we live in Italian housing. As a result, we have almost 2 more weeks before we can turn on the heat :(
So that is where I remember how grateful I am that we are American and moving back to the states shortly. Oh the things I won't miss...

Photo Shoot

I was been promising new photos, but still haven't got around to it. So in the mean time, I took these while we waited over an hour for me to see the doctor for 15 minutes one day.

And hopefully one day I can post a video of their new favorite word. PLEASE. So, here they are being rewarded with candy lol.

I wanna hold your hand...

Lately, the twins (it is so weird calling them that, but I am trying to change from 'babies') and I have been walking all over post. For the most part, it is easier than taking the stroller, and since there is seriously no parking on post, we have been taking advantage of the weather and walking. They have been getting really good practice at holding each other's hand. Logan hates it of course, but mostly because he doesn't like to hold hands. Anyway, I couldn't resist the pictures because they are so sweet!
