Murano

We took a trip on Monday to Murano. It is a small island off of Venice (weird since Venice is also an Island). It is known for the glass that it makes. They make glass everything there. It was really fun to watch the process. We watched them make a bowl but the kids complained it was hot. And it was really fun to walk around the shops and see all the creative glass. I only wish I had money to shop. It was also fun to take the water taxi down there. It is kind of like a bus, but since Venice is an island and very small, they use boats instead. It was the first time we have done that. It was a great day seeing the country that we live in with our friends Julie, Taylor, Gavin, Charlie, and Jessie. As you can see, we are traveling fools these days. We have less than a year left, so we have to get it all in.

It is so beautiful there. One can really take for granted all the history that Europe holds. I am sure you are going to miss it when you leave.
