Easter Eggstravaganza- Saturday

Make a slideshow - it's easy!

The Post had an easter egg hunt. So, we got up in the morning, colored eggs and finshed sewing easter dresses (thanks Julie). Then we went to post and had fun with a massivly unorganized easter egg hunt, and some other games. Then we went to the movies to see Horton Hears a Who. It was a lot of fun and almost everyone in the branch was there.

Wednesday- Mom's Club Easter Party

Wednesday, our local Mom's Club had an easter party. My battery ran out on the camera, so I didn't get many pictures, but here is one with Laycee and Logan holding their homemade easter baskets. They also loved the Easter egg hunt, but Logan didn't understand that you are suppoed to let go of one and pick up more. He was a one egg kind of man.

Our Weekend

This weekend we had a sleep over and then did the 5 k race on post again. We started our sleep over at the movies. Then we went to Julies. We woke up int he morning and did the 5 K race on post again and then we all went to Burger King to unwind from the race. It was so much fun. Then on Saturday evening, Trent, Julie, Gavin, and I went to a play on post. Trent loved it of course! It was a fun filled weekend that ended with our surprise visitor.

This weekend the kids and I welcomed a suprise visitor.

Haley was traveling around italy and needed a place to stay so she could go to church. The women in the branch who usually take in people in need of a place to stay were on a trip, so I offered to let her stay here since Dave was gone. It was great. It was really fun to have her with us. She stayed for two days and the kids and I were sad to see her go back home to Utah. We are hoping that one day in the future to cross paths again! As a side note though, I had intended several times to get a pic of our visitor with the kids, but I kept forgetting my camera. Bummer, but I wanted to note that we had a visitor and it was so much fun! So Haley went from stranger to a new friend. Funny how life works out.

Our Week

Let's Play

We have had a few nice days lately, so the kids have been out and about. This year I am really trying to get them outside more to play, even though it is not convenient for us. So, the other day when it was not too cold, Haylee and Trent took the babies out for a ride on the balcony.

And... when they came back in, the babies were getting ready for bed and Laycee snagged a blanket out of the closet and carried it into the living room (this still remains a mystery to me, but I guess determination trumps ability lol). Well she was loving her blanket until Logan decided that he didn't have one. And the baby war began. This is their new stage, steal, moan and complain about everything.

And he bites the dust.... again

Logan took yet another spill yesterday.

He was out playing with the big kids...

and ended up being dropped on the cement steps... OOPS.

He did not take this like a man,

but once again, he is happy to show it off lol.

Promotion Board

Dave recently found out that while he was in the "field"

(the training he is in right now)

that he would attend the promotion board.

He went appeared before the board yesterday and

he got a 147/150!

He seemed really happy with that and the board

passed on word that he was the best they saw yesterday.

So maybe in a few months Dave will be promoted to Sergeant (E-5),

but we will see... you can never count on the

speed of the military.

Crockpot

I don't know how many of you use your crockpot,
But, since I only cook once a month,
crockpot recipes are the best for me.
I was looking for a fish crockpot recipe and I came across crockpotters heaven.
A lady blogs a crockpot recipe every day!
I am so excited now and I can't wait to try her Tilapia Recipe.

War Wounds

Logan officially has his first real fall.

You can see the bruise in the middle of his forehead.

He was sitting on a little kid chair at the daycare

and decided he wanted to come see me.

And splat... fell face and belly first on the ground.

He only cried for a minute...

but he is smiling sweet here because "chicks dig it"

New Toy

Laycee has recently discovered a new favorite toy.

She loves this Bitty Baby from American Girl (thanks mom)

That mom bought for Haylee when she was little.

When she sees the baby, she smiles and gets real excited

And when she gets to hold the baby,

She smothers it with hugs and kisses before

she proceeds to poke the eyes, ears, and mouth

with her index finger.

Good thing it is just a doll!

And Freeze!
