Dress Up

Last week Julie and Sean went to Germany, so Terrilee and I watched their kids. Well Dave went out of town, so we had a huge sleepover. And what is a sleepover without pricesses, fairies, and their valent protectors? So, here they are all dressed up!
Haylee and Kirra and Baby
Haylee, Baby, Kirra, and Jessie

The whole bunch of them
Christian, Gavin, and Trent
I am glad that I had enough dress up cloths for them all. I didn't know that I would, but apparently I have more than I thought.

Faces

So Laycee loves to make faces. The other night, Dave and her were just laughing hysterically at one other because they were making faces at each other. THey both thought it was great fun. So, how could i resist such a great opportunity to get some pictures of Laycee. Hope you all enjoy the faces that she makes so often for us!

First Day of Soccer

Yesterday was the kids first day of soccer for the season. They are on different teams this year (much to my saddness) but they are in different age groups, so that is how it goes. So, here is Trent practicing...
Doesn't he know you aren't supposed to use your hands?
And then Haylee practiced afterwards. So here she is posing for the camera lol...

I think they are both going to have more fun this year because Trent is a year older and Haylee is with older children this year. I think it will be fun... however listening to Logan burst in tears everytime we tell him that he can't play is not so fun. He just loves to play ball, so he is very sad that he can't play with the other kids.

Before she stops....

Laycee's main mode of transportation now is her feet. The other day though, she took a minute to revert back to walking on her knees. I wanted to get video before it was too late and I miss the moment to capture how she got around for several months. So, here is a quick video of how she walks on her knees.

First Hair Cut

I just couldn't stand it any longer. His long curls on top had to go! I know, I know, everyone loved them. They were really cute on the 1 day every month that I could contain them. Other than that, the kid looked like he was growing a very thing birds nest on his head. So, I decided before his bath, it was time for them to go. Here is the first snip.
He was so happy and pleasant the whole time. He really let me cut it, but he hated the hair falling onto him.

The curls are gone! I left the back a little longer because it does really look nice, but the top had to go. Funny thing is, he just looks a little more grown up now, but you can hardly tell that I got rid of it all.

Darby, Piza, and Florence

Last weekend we went to Camp Darby near Piza. It was fun to get out and camp and to see a few of the sites. Here are some pictures of our adventures at Darby, Piza, and almost Florence.

Saturday night we went to Piza. This would have to be my favorite part of Europe is to see such amazing architecture. Paris was by far the best place we have see so far, but Italy is just so full of stuff like this. I love it. Piza is not really that great. Seriously, you walk into a couryard and see two buildings. That is all, but it was still amazing to see. I am really glad we made it there. So, enough chatting, here are the photos.

The Leaning Tower of Piza
The whole Family
This picture is so not fake. Dave positioned Haylee just right. She looks kind of like King Kong to me!

Can't have an Italian excursion without some gelato!
The bridge near Piza. Julie and Terrilee's family walked along the bridge over to a really pretty church. But I was exhausted and it was 10 pm so Dave and I took the babies to camp. It was nice to have them almost asleep before everyone else came back.

On Sunday, we went to Florence. We had planned on heading home after sigteseeing, but I was really tired and ready to get home. So we all drove around the city where I took the pictures below. Then we parked and were going to have lunch, but I was ready to head out, so we sent the other two families on their bus tour and we ate lunch and headed back home.

Overall it was a great trip. The beach was closed which was sad, but the pool and a nap was a nice substitue. I was really tired by Sunday so I am not sad I didn't get to see more of Florence. It was fun to take the babies on their first camping trip and we are thinking about doing it again in December. We will see. We are toying with the idea of going to Pompeii and Rome for one last trip before we leave here. Who knows. Anyway, we thought about camping, but we might stay at the naval base instead. The base is closer to Pompeii and Rome. I guess we will just have to wait it out and see what the next few months have in store for us. I guess it also depends on where we are moving to next as well. We are on a count down so we have to see the last little bit of Europe that we want in case we don't make it back this way.

My Poor Baby

Trent's sick. He appeared to be fine yesterday morning at the 5k race. He ran his little butt off. We came home and about 2, I send the kids in for quiet time. (I can't function without daily quiet time.) When he woke up, he was really grumpy. I send him in for dinner and he came back out a few minutes later saying that he doesn't feel well. I felt his skin and immediately I knew he had a fever. Sure enough, 101.5. Its been going nonstop through the night. He hasn't yet thrown up, but he did wake me at 4 am in hysterics saying, "Mom I need medicine or I am going to throw up." I sent him in to throw up, but he wouldn't. Anyway, I gave him some Mortin and sent him back to bed. Still a fever this morning, we will see how it goes. I just hope he doesn't pass it to the babies. I HATE sick babies. Especially a sick Laycee.

Quirkiness of Laycee

So Dave and I were talking about some of the weird things Laycee does, and then it occured to me that it would be a neat post for the blog. So, this post is dedicated to my slightly habitual daughter, Laycee lol.
Laycee's Bat Habits....
1. She bites her nails. I never realized that a habit like this starts so young!
2. She grits her teeth. All day long, we are definately discussing that with the doctor on Tuesday.
3. She makes mean faces! I know we all laugh at her, but she seriously knows how to make a mean face and a confused face.
4. She is obsessed with dipping. I know most kids are, but she is really obsessed. She also recently developed an obsession with shoes. Also normal, but very frustrating when she can't get them on herself.
5. This is where she gets funny... she only eats the cream of oreos. She takes the time to open them up and eat out the middle and leave the rest. No one else in our family does that.
6. Likewise, she does the same with crackers. She only likes the inside.
7. And her newest, last night for pizza, she ate the toppings and the soft crust part, but left the bottom crust there.
I don't know where she gets this stuff. Dave says, "She just knows what she likes". I am glad she knows what she likes, but I wish she would inform us so she would stop crying about it all the time.

Surfin' USA

So, Trent and the kids were packing up to go camping. One of the days we were planning on going to the beach, so Trent pulled out the boogie board that Angela and Dominic gave us when they moved. Well, Logan and Laycee loved the idea of playing on the board. I swear it was at least a half hour of uninterupted fighting and pushing for turn fun.

I think by the look on her face she thinks she won lol.

Where in the World has Lexi been?

So I realize my blogging days have been a little spotty. So... I am here to post a few posts today as well as to give you my pathetic list of what has been keeping me from blogging...

1. World of Warcraft (The things we do to build a better relationship with our spouses, and it has turned out to be rather fun.)

2. Camping (You can expect pictures later of our weekend, but it takes more than 5 minutes becuase I have a whole weekend of funfilled pictures to blog... we went to the Leaning Tower of Piza and Florence, so be on the lookout)

3. The Gym (Body Jam starts this Friday so I have to get in the extra practice)

4. The most important thing.... Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer. Julie found it at the post that we camped at on Thursday (FINALLY!!). Unfortunatly, it takes up all my time... sorry blogging world, you are second to Bella, Edward and Jacob. I am almost done, so hopefully the blogging will pick up soon.

Oh yeah, I forgot my family of 4 kids and one should be a kid. So, hopefully my blogging will pick up again soon, but be on the look out for some really cool Piza pictures later this week!

Chillin'

This is what we did yesterday. I needed some rest and relaxation after our long weekend camping and siteseeing. So... here is a very unusal moment in our house. Me and the babies just chillin' (with no pushing, shoving or crying).

I Just Wanna Fly

We have recently made an effort to change the time that the kids go to bed. I just felt like 7 pm was too early. So, as part of our nightly routine, the kids get to play around with daddy about 6 for 30 minutes or so until it is time to try new calmer activities. Well, the other night Dave and I gave flying rides and the kids LOVED it. The battery on the camera went dead so this is all I could get, but here is Trent with his butt hanging out lol.
And here is Laycee just LOVIN it!!

Hope you all enjoy a little of our fun!

Birthday Party

On Saturday, Christian had a birthday party. It was a pool party, as they all are in the summer time, but it was fun. We played a little keep away from the kids.

Dave played a little rocketship with the babies. Laycee LOVED it, but Jaron and Logan were not as fond of the game.
Logan got all wrapped up and dried off.
Christian had an amry birthday cake.

The boys loved it!
And Laycee and Jaron hung out on the side for a little "alone" time.
Okay, so Nancy sent me these pictures because I didn't have my camera on Saturday, and she also sent me this one. I thought it was cute, so I thought I would post it. We were playing at Nancy's house one day and the babies wanted to go on a wagon ride. Leave it to my big helper Haylee, to make the trek around the houses with them.
