Laycee can be so clingy sometimes and the other night I was trying to cook dinner and clean up the house. She would not leave me alone, nor would she stop crying. SO I diverted her attention to watercolors. She loved it. She really likes to color and paint, so this was perfect for a last minute and much needed distraction.Sunday, December 21, 2008

I'm glad your diversion worked! Finn is a mama's boy too! I'll have to remember paints next time.
you are such a good and smart mamma! what a great idea to keep them busy. i usually turn on the tv which causes more chaos (sp). i will have to try this out! :) cant wait to see you and your much older (as in ages :)) family!
What a great distraction. Many nights I made dinner with my son on my hip for that same reason. He wasn't so easy to persuade.
